A. Couto starts to make his move into the 2008 season!
L. Duval back in Japan with A1GP momentum!
Andre Couto (Portugal), currently residing in Macau, will continue as a works driver in SUPER GT. He has been a member of the prestigious TOYOTA TEAM SARD since 2004 and will once again be driving the No. 39 DENSO DUNLOP SARD SC430. Andre is well on track in terms of preparations for the beginning of the season; he has been driving tirelessly, working on car set-up at various tests carried out since January.
Andre Couto:“It’s truly an honor to drive in SUPER GT for yet another season as a member of TOYOTA TEAM SARD. There are a lot of new things affecting me positively this season. To name a few, we switched from Bridgestone tyres to Dunlop, we have a new team manager Akira Iida, who is also a very experienced driver, and my friend Toranosuke Takagi has joined the team. With our new organization, I am going to undertake the winter tests with a clean slate. I really cannot wait to race.”
Loic Duval on the other hand, continues to drive for A1 Team France in that series’ 2007/2008 A1GP season. He is currently ranked number 1 and will enter Round 7, the A1 GP race at Durban, South Africa.
After that, he passes the baton to his A1 Team France teammate as he competes once again with NAKAJIMA RACING in Japan’s top two racing categories, Formula Nippon and SUPER GT.
In Formula Nippon, he will continue in the PIAA-liveried machine with Takashi Kogure as his teammate, while in SUPER GT, he teams up with new partner Katsuyuki Hiranaka in the No.32 EPSON NSX where they’ll compete in a total of nine races.

The two drivers will kick off the SUPER GT season at Suzuka, on March 15th and 16th.
